Kris McIntyre - Biography
Australian-based Kris McIntyre is the host of Yoga TV™ and Team Unity Fitness yoga series.
Kris teaches Ryoho yoga therapy – a uniquely modern style of yoga that combines traditional Indian Hatha yoga with Zen Japanese meridian-based therapies as taught by Masahiro Oki and the food-based healing principles of macrobiotics.
Introduced to yoga in her teens, Kris started studying yoga and eastern medicine in her mid-20’s and has now been teaching for almost 10 years. Kris studied Ryoho Yoga and Zen Shiatsu with renowned Australian-based teacher, Andzrej Gospodarczyk. Prior to that she studied Ki Yoga with Jack Marshall at the Zen Renaissance Healing Centre in Sydney, Zen Shiatsu with Sakis Theopholis in India and Transcendental Meditation with Tim Brown in Australia.
Based in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Kris teaches public yoga classes in Rushcutters Bay Park as well as corporate yoga classes through Yoga for the Seasons.
Kris is also a freelance writer, author and editor specializing in yoga, health/wellness, and travel with a focus on body and soul escapes. Kris currently writes for HolidayGoddess.com travel guide, dumbo feather ... pass it on and Spa Life Magazine in Australia. She co-authored Yoga for Switched on Living (Pan McMillan 2002) and has written for marie claire magazine (South Africa) and was a regular columnist and feature writer for body+soul (Sunday Telegraph, News Limited Australia).
